Problems while establishing an anonymous network

There are several reasons why Easy-Hide-IP might fail to connect to your chosen exit point but generally it is one of three factors.

1) You are connecting for the first time
The first time the system connects or if you have not used the system for a while, it will need to spend some time gathering network information about the available servers. This in some cases can take up to 5 minutes depending on network latency. If your connection fails the first time we recommend that you try the connection again and if the problem persists see the points below or contact us using our contact page.

2) The exit point, or one of the network segments are not responding.
This can occur when your chosen exit point, or one of the other two network points that make up the virtual network, does not have enough bandwidth to deal with the amount of traffic that it is trying to route. It is often possible to establish a connection by attempting to connect to that exit point again after the initial failure. If the problem persists we suggest that you choose a different exit point in the same geographical region if desired.

3) Your system does not allow changes to your proxy settings
Some firewalls and anti-virus programs block attempted changes to the proxy settings of Internet Explorer therefore stopping breaking the secure network and not displaying the correct identity in the 'Active Identity' box on the top of the application. If the system says that it has connected successfully but is still showing your original IP address we suggest that you follow the instructions listed on the browser setup page to change the settings manually.
